Three Dog-Friendly Ice Cream Treat Recipes

As the temperatures rise, we sometimes turn to ice cream to cool off. Ice cream is a great cool treat to help dogs beat the heat as well.
Here are three simple and delicious pet-friendly ice cream recipes you can whip up at home.
1. Peanut Butter Banana Delight
Ingredients:
2 ripe bananas
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 cup peanut butter (make sure it’s xylitol-free!)
Instructions:
1. Peel the bananas and place them in a blender.
2. Add the Greek yogurt and peanut butter.
3. Blend until smooth and creamy.
4. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays or silicone molds.
5. Freeze for at least 3 hours or until solid.
6. Serve to your pup and watch them enjoy!
2. Berry Bliss
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh or frozen berries (blueberries, strawberries, or a mix)
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1 tablespoon honey (optional)
Instructions:
1. Wash the berries if using fresh ones.
2. Place the berries, Greek yogurt, and honey in a blender.
3. Blend until well combined and smooth.
4. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays or silicone molds.
5. Freeze for at least 3 hours or until solid.
6. Let your dog savor this berry-licious treat!
3. Apple Cinnamon Freeze
Ingredients:
1 apple, cored and chopped
1 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
1. Core and chop the apple into small pieces.
2. Place the apple pieces, Greek yogurt, and ground cinnamon in a blender.
3. Blend until smooth.
4. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays or silicone molds.
5. Freeze for at least 3 hours or until solid.
6. Treat your dog to this apple cinnamon delight!
